Unlike most investment firms which only perform sign-up or initial enrollment meetings, RCM recommends and encourages regular investment education seminars. The professional staff at RCM will endeavor to enhance the participant’s understanding of the following:
-
measuring risk tolerance
-
diversification
-
dollar cost averaging
-
compound interest
-
remaining invested and benefits of constant deferrals
-
benefits of a passive investment management style
-
selection techniques for mutual funds
-
investment basics and principles of investing
We also strive to ensure participants understand all of their investment options and the risk/reward potential for each choice so that they may make informed investment decisions. The result is that plan participants are equipped to construct an investment portfolio among the investment choices in the plan that will best meet their goals and objectives commensurate with their individual risk tolerance. Informed participants are far less likely to attempt market timing investment choices or rapid investment switching which is almost always hazardous to their portfolio’s health. |
